Title: Taiwan Earthquake

Motion Text:
That the Parliament notes with great concern the impact of the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck off the east coast of Taiwan on 6 February 2018 at 23:50 local time; understands that this has resulted in the deaths of two people so far, with more than 200 injured; commends the work of emergency responders who have already rescued over 150 people from collapsed and partially collapsed buildings in the city of Hualien; believes that others are known to still be trapped and that 40,000 homes are without water, but that rescue efforts have been hampered by aftershocks and sends its condolences to those affected and their families.
