Making Sense: Education for children and young people with Dyslexia

May. 30th 2014

The Cross Party Group for Dyslexia met on Wednesday 21st May 2014 between 1 pm and 2.30 pm. The group discussed the Education Scotland Report : Education for children and young people with dyslexia in Scotland (http://www.educationscotland.gov.uk/resources/m/genericresource_tcm4829766.asp).  The report concluded that local authorities are improving services for supporting learners with dyslexia, schools are making good provision for children and young people with additional support needs, including dyslexia, and that the Scottish Government Literacy Action Plan is committed to working with Dyslexia Scotland to address literacy difficulties and is providing a focus on early intervention to help children develop their skills.
