Making Sense: Education for children and young people with Dyslexia

The Cross Party Group for Dyslexia met on Wednesday 21st May 2014 between 1 pm and 2.30 pm. The group discussed the Education Scotland Report : Education for children and young people with dyslexia in Scotland (  The report concluded that local authorities are improving services for supporting learners with dyslexia, schools are making good provision for children and young people with additional support needs, including dyslexia, and that the Scottish Government Literacy Action Plan is committed to working with Dyslexia Scotland to address literacy difficulties and is providing a focus on early intervention to help children develop their skills.

Hillend View Care Home

May. 27th 2014

Margaret paid a visit to the Hillend Care Home in Airdrie. The visit was organised by Hillend and was to mark Mental Health Awareness Week which took place from 12-18 May, and dealt with the theme of anxiety.

Margaret is pictured with staff and residents of the care home and thoroughly enjoyed the activities organised.
